Juno Dunes Natural Area Oceanfront Tract — A Beach Full of Life
The beach is full of life, from an abundance of shorebirds and crustaceans in the tidal zones to plants adapted to the rough conditions of the upland dunes. Sea oats, railroad vine, Spanish bayonet, and pricklypear cactus give way to seagrape and other tropical hardwoods as you get farther away from the ocean. This stretch of beach is also prime nesting grounds for sea turtles — Photo by David Sedore
