This might look like an open field, but looks are a bit deceiving. It's wetland mostly filled with knotted spikerush and there is standing water throughout. Where there is open water, you might find mottled ducks, moorhens or other water fowl. We've seen great egrets, great blue herons and sandhill cranes foraging here.
