The Plantation Preserve Linear Trail is bordered by water on two sides for most of its length. The wet stuff works as a hazard for the golf course while providing habitat for ducks, wading birds, turtles, snakes and, no doubt, an alligator or two. We didn't see a gator during our hike along the trail, but this being Florida, odds are they're out there somewhere. The golf course can be seen across the way, while the trail is to the photographer's back. NEXT PHOTO.
