This is a closeup look at that strip of sand at the north end of the lagoon at Tigertail Beach Park. Beyond is the Gulf of Mexico. The photo provides some sense as to how low and narrow it really is as well as how isolated it is. All in all a perfect place to spend a warm February afternoon, assuming you can get out there. There's no vegetation at all, of course, which means the land is totally at the mercy of the tides, winds and currents of the Gulf.
