Much of Boca Chita Key is on the manicured side, part of the Boca Chita Key Historical District, which includes the boat dock, the lighthouse, chapel, pavilion, picnic and camping areas. But the district ends at a massive stone wall beyond which the island remains in a natural state. There are paths that cut through and offer a more pristine view of the island.
