Lake Worth Cove

John D. MacArthur Beach State Park, Palm Beach County

lake worth cove
NORTH PALM BEACH — This is Lake Worth Cove within John D. MacArthur Beach State Park looking south toward A1A (there is a glimpse of the road in the background). Beyond A1A the cove connects to Lake Worth/Intracoastal Waterway. Lake Worth Cove is a perfect spot to kayak, to paddleboard, to fish, maybe even snorkel. A boardwalk crosses the cove, connecting the mainland with the beach. It's a beautiful walk across the boardwalk, but if you're in a hurry, there's a shuttle during the day that will take you to and from the beach. The condos in the photo give an idea of what this place might have looked like had it not been preserved as a state park.
