Visitor Center — The Adventure Begins

For those new to Loxahatchee National Wildlife Refuge or haven't visited in a while, the Visitor Center is the logical place to begin your adventure. There are excellent interpretive displays that will give you a good idea of what the refuge is all about, where to go, what to look for and what you might see. There's a store with books and souvenirs and volunteers who can answer your questions, point you in the right direction or tell you of the latest happenings. Conveniently, our next stop on our tour, the Cypress Swamp Boardwalk, is right out the door.
