The ARM Trail — Hiking Ahead

Arthur R. Marshall Loxahatchee National Wildlife Refuge, Boynton Beach, Palm Beach County

The Arthur R. Marshall Trail is relatively new, made public a few years ago. It's similar in ways to the Marsh Trail in that it's broad and bordered by canals and marshes. It's less used than the Marsh Trail, or so it seems. It's also open to bicycles, where the Marsh Trail is not. This photo, shot looking south gives you some idea of what the trail is like. The line of trees in the background toward the right of the photo are cypress along Lee Road. The Marsh Trail lies just beyond and the boat ramp just out of the picture to the right.
