In the immortal words of the great philosopher/catcher/left fielder Yogi Berra, "when you come to a fork in the road (or trail), take it." In this case, it doesn't matter. We're at the beginning of a loop trail on the south section of Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse Outstanding Natural Area and taking either path will get us right back where we started. For totally arbitrary reasons, we go left and down the bluff to the Intracoastal Waterway. The Bureau of Land Management's planning document for the site describes this section as "disturbed," meaning it's not in its natural condition. There are some interesting hardwod trees, includinng some old live oaks, papaya and a paradise tree or two. Oh and it's a cool walk along the banks of Indian River.NEXT STOP: Along the Intracoastal.
