Plantation Preserve Linear Trail, Broward County

the trail

The intent of Plantation Preserve Linear Trail was to go beyond building a golf course by providing a bit of nature that the entire community can enjoy. The trail itself is wide and smooth, perfect for a family stroll, while wide enough to accomodate bikers, rollerbladers, smooth enough for the wheelchair bound. Native plants line the way, with water habitats — ponds, swamps and marshes — bordering each side of the trail There are places to sit and enjoy the surroundings, plenty of interpretive signs and markers identifying some of the plants. It is linear, so every step out means a step back. The length of the trail is 1.1 miles, and can be accessed at the main entrance along West Broward Boulevard and at Trail Way. NEXT PHOTO.
